Celebrating Commonwealth Day

Brandon Parish Council invited us to join them for a special Commonwealth day ceremony.

Chairman of the council, Councillor Cecilia Wharton read a special message.

Father Carl said a special prayer for the Commonwealth .

The Commonwealth flag was then raised by Councillor Grantham.

Our Anti-Bullying champions gave a small presentation promoting equality and diversity entitled “Love has no labels”.

We all felt very honoured to be ask to join in this special ceremony.

So what is Commonwealth day all about?

Let our ABC’s tell you a bit more about it.

Was nice to see the children this morning and their presentation went well.
They were a credit to the school and themselves.

Thank you very much for your comment Mr. Grantham. We are pleased that you enjoyed the children’s presentation.
